Blue Christmas, also called the Longest Night is a day in the Advent season marking the longest night of the year. Care Night is providing the opportunity to turn this "Longest Night" into a special time of remembrance. It's designed for people suffering with pain, loss, isolation, and grief in this season. On this night, we remember those for whom the holidays are not joyful. People may be experiencing depression and sadness and yet are often compelled to ‘put on a happy face’ for others.
On December 22 beginning at 6:30pm, in conjunction with Care Night, we will offer a time for those who have lost loved ones to share in a special candle service during the worship time as well as a time of encouragement and support during group times. Everyone is invited to take part.
