Our Lead Pastor

Chris VandeLinde serves as the Lead Pastor of Cornerstone Christian Church.  Under Chris' leadership, Cornerstone is passionate about seeing people connected to Jesus and their lives transformed, both locally and globally.  He is known for his creative approach to teaching and presenting the Bible.  Chris, his wife, Nicole and their two children are grateful to live this close to baseball heaven.

Chad Brown
Shiloh Campus Pastor
Chad joined the Cornerstone staff in the spring of 2018.  He and his wife, Rachel, are the proud parents of Titus and Heath.  As a family, they enjoy going to the zoo, finding new parks to enjoy, and taking long walks through their neighborhood.  In his spare time, Chad loves to read, watch movies, or visit with friends (possibly around a fire, but definitely with copious amounts of coffee).
Chad graduated from Johnson University in 2001.  He received his Master's degree in Pastoral Care and Counseling from Cincinnati Christian University in 2013.
Chris VandeLinde
Lead Pastor

Chris graduated from Johnson Bible College (now Johnson University) in 2000 and from Hope International University in 2011. He joined Cornerstone staff as the Lead Pastor in 2015.

Chris and his wife, Nicole have two children. All four VandeLinde family members are avid Cardinal’s baseball fans.

Josh Kinney
O'Fallon Campus Pastor

Originally from the suburban Atlanta area, Josh moved to St. Louis in the fall of 2004 to attend college. He graduated from St. Louis Christian College in 2008 with his Bachelor’s Degree. He then graduated from Cincinnati Christian University with a Master of Arts in Religion in 2012. Josh has been around Cornerstone since 2005, but joined the Cornerstone staff in 2008. He has served in a number of roles during his time: Sports Minister, Connections Minister, Community Pastor, and he is currently the Campus Pastor at the O’Fallon Campus, which launched in September of 2018.

While attending St. Louis Christian College, Josh met a young lady named Holly. He dated Holly for a few years and the two of them got married on June 7, 2008. Josh and Holly live in O’Fallon with their son and two daughters. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family. Josh is active in the community, especially as a volunteer coach for youth sports. He enjoys watching or attending any sports event and he is a diehard Georgia Bulldogs football fan.

Josh Mehrle
Executive Pastor

Josh was born and raised in the St. Louis area, go Cards!  He Graduated for St Louis Christian College in 2001, Fontbonne University with his MBA in 2009, and from Maryville University with an Accounting degree in 2011.  He worked with two different church plants in the St. Louis area before joining the Cornerstone team in 2014.

Josh is married to his better half, Libby, and they have three daughters who light up his life.  Josh loves doing home improvement projects, being with friends, reading good books, and grilling/eating lots of meat.  He is deeply passionate about facilitating ministry so people can be transformed by the love of Jesus.

Patrick Wheeler
Family Pastor & Shiloh Campus Middle School

Patrick is originally from Derby, Kansas. He graduated from Ozark Christian College in 2009. Patrick joined the Cornerstone Staff in November of 2016 as the Middle School and Family Pastor. He and his wife Lauren have two wonderful little girls, Lyla and Sadie.

Brian McGrew
Facilities Supervisor

Brian joined Cornerstone staff in 2013. In his free time, Brian enjoys spending time with his wife, Tanya and their family of four boys. Brian's creative and sometimes inventive solutions to requests made around the building make things much easier.

Caitlin Pugh
Family Ministry Admin

Caitlin graduated from Central Christian College of The Bible in 2015 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Christian Counseling. She joined Cornerstone in 2017 and serves as the admin for our Family Ministry Team. In her spare time she enjoys traveling, spending time with friends (especially around a fire), and a strong cup of coffee.
A favorite verse is Philippians 1:6 "...and I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns." 

Dan Drake
Media Minister

Dan Drake joined the staff here at Cornerstone in November of 2016 as the Media & Tech Minister. He graduated from St. Louis Christian College in 2010 with a degree in The Bible and Preaching Ministry. He has served as Worship Pastor for churches in Rhode Island and Houston, Texas.  Dan met his wife Jessica on a beautiful night under the Arch while they both attended SLCC and got married just 2 years later.  Dan is a huge movie and television buff and is often heard quoting obscure references.  He enjoys playing boutique board games and playing guitar around a fire.

He has also been crowned fastest beard in the west several years in a row.

Kathy Warren
Receptionist

Kathy became a member of Cornerstone in February 2007. She enjoys time with friends and family, reading, and movies. Prior to Cornerstone, her work history was not in the church but in the retail and corporate world for over 40 years. She joined our staff in the Summer of 2014. She loves being the receptionist and getting to know the great people here at Cornerstone.

Lisa Engelman
Executive Administrative Assistant

Lisa serves as the Executive Administrative Assistant to the Lead Pastor & Executive Pastor.  She has attended Cornerstone since 2008. Lisa enjoys spending time with her husband, Dean and their 2 children.  She also enjoys knitting and watching St. Louis University Men's Basketball and the St. Louis Cardinals. 

Raydean Stuckey
Communications Coordinator

Raydean has been on staff at Cornerstone since 2009. She graduated from Southwestern Illinois College with an Associate in Arts Degree and from McKendree University in 2012 with a Bachelor’s Degree in English with a Writing Emphasis.  She enjoys reading and being on the beach. Raydean also loves spending time with her husband, Dan and their two adult daughters.

Tiffany Galdamez
Childcare Coordinator

Tiffany grew up in Elmwood, Illinois and graduated from Greenville College (now Greenville University) in 2017 with a degree in Youth Ministry. She married Angel Galdamez in 2017 and moved to O’Fallon, Illinois. Tiffany enjoys animals, the outdoors (especially the stars), playing guitar, being a mentor, and a good book with a large side of coffee. Her current favorite Bible verse is Ephesians 3:20, “Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.”

Tiffany Snyder
Graphic Designer

Tiffany graduated from SWIC with an Associate in Applied Science in Graphic Communications in May 2015.  Through the school, she began interning at Cornerstone and then was hired on staff in April 2016.  In December 2018, she graduated with her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design from Liberty University Online.

Tiffany creates many of the graphic design pieces you see around the church and in advertising.  She works with much of the church's social media and photography.

In her free time, she enjoys reading, watching Netflix, shopping, and eating ice cream.

Torri Davis
Adult Ministry Admin

Torri attended Liberty University where she graduated in 2009. She has been attending Cornerstone since 2012 serving in both Children’s and Women’s Ministry. She joined Cornerstone staff in 2017. Torri met her husband, Aaron, in Kansas. They have two kids, an animal loving boy and a princess. In her spare time she enjoys being with her family, sarcasm, photography, and binge watching TV shows.

Vicki McGee
Financial Administrator

Vicki received a Christian Service Certificate from St. Louis Christian College and an accounting certificate from Hickey Business School. She is an enrolled agent through the IRS which requires 24 Continuing Education Credits per year. Vicki has served in nearly every role imaginable in a church, including Preacher’s Wife, but now focuses on tax prep for ministers and church organizations.

Vicki loves to cook, read books, spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Vicki attends Cross Pointe Christian Church in Mascoutah, where her husband serves as lead pastor.

Brittany Bear
Children's Minister
Brittany grew up in Greenville, Ohio, a small city best known for its county fair and the Maid-Rite Sandwich Shoppe. Having a heart for kids, she attended Saint Louis Christian College to pursue a degree in Children's Ministry and gain practical experience in the church. She graduated in 2014 and married her husband, Japheth, the same year. After a couple of big moves and ministries together, they are excited to be joining Cornerstone. Brittany has a love for people, the church, and God's word. She is passionate about discipleship and seeing little lives changed by the good news of Jesus! In her spare time, Brittany enjoys drinking multiple cups of coffee, rewatching Gilmore Girls, spending quality time with people, or listening to Harry Potter on Audible.

Micah Balu
O'Fallon Student/Worship Minister

Micah was born and raised just across the river in Florissant, Missouri and graduated from Ozark Christian College in May 2018 with a Bachelor's Degree in Christian Ministry with an emphasis in Preaching. He is a big fan of toasted ravioli, Cardinal baseball, and all things St. Louis. If you ever need a guide to be a tourist in the city - Micah would be happy to help! He is passionate about communicating the gospel and seeing kids and students fall in love with Jesus. Micah is excited to be a part of the O'Fallon campus and see God move in that community.

Aaron Hanson
Shiloh High School Minister

Aaron grew up in Bloomington, Illinois and graduated from Johnson University in Knoxville, Tennessee in 2015 with a Bachelor's Degree in Preaching and Church Leadership. 2016 was a big year for Aaron. He married his wife Talley and began working here at Cornerstone. Aaron enjoys the outdoors, playing with his dog, Barley, drinking good coffee, playing sports, and watching Virginia Tech Football. He loves seeing students come to life in Jesus and inviting them into what Jesus is doing. A favorite verse is II Corinthians 5:17, "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, He is a new creation, the old has gone the new has come!"

 

Ben Browning
Creative Arts Minister

Ben joined the Cornerstone Staff in June 2019. He graduated from Lincoln Christian University in 2004 with a degree in Worship Ministry. Growing up a pastor's kid from the Midwest, Ben is passionate about the local church. He is committed to building teams and helping people discover their potential. He loves a good project, plenty of laughter and a great cup of coffee.

Cathy Wright
Pastoral Care Minister

Cathy received her Bachelor’s degree in Christian Education with a minor in Music from Manhattan Christian College in Kansas. She began her ministry at Chapel Hill Christian Church (Cornerstone, before it was Cornerstone). She served as Christian Education/ Youth/ Worship Minister from 1977-1985. From 1985-2008 she served as the Worship Minister. Cathy served as Worship/ Special Needs minister from 2009-2010 and currently serves as Pastoral Care Minister. For fun, Cathy loves to garden and be outside in her yard.

Dusty Schulz
Children's Minister
Dusty first came to Cornerstone as a Resident in June 2018.   In January 2019, he joined Cornerstone staff as our Children's Minister and graduated from Ozark Christian College in May 2020.

 

Dusty is passionate about loving kids and pointing them to the love of Christ as well as connecting their parents with the church to ensure that they will teach their kids as well.

 

He is Missouri born and raised and in his free time, he loves running, climbing trees, drinking cheap coffee, and being with people.

Braden Harris
Worship Resident

Braden is a St. Louis area native, growing up in O’Fallon, Missouri. He moved to Knoxville, Tennessee after high school to study worship ministry at Johnson University, graduating (quarantined) in 2020. After which he moved back to the St. Louis area to start working as Cornerstone’s Worship Connections Resident.

Braden loves playing music, especially worship music. His favorite instruments to play are guitar, bass, and violin. He enjoys playing ultimate frisbee and is a lifelong fan of St. Louis Blues hockey.

Cal Kinman
Young Adults Resident

Cal Richard Kinman was born in Keokuk Iowa, but lived most of his life in Springville Indiana. He graduated from Johnson University in 2020 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Preaching and Youth Ministry. Cal is a big fan of many things, these things include watching sports, being outdoors, lifting weights, playing ultimate frisbee, and attempting to pet every dog in the world. Cal is passionate about the incarnational community of believers in Christ, and is devoting his life to help guide those to Jesus for Kingdom work. His favorite verse comes from 2 Timothy 1:7, “For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.”

Nathan Anderson
Youth Ministry Resident

Nathan was born and raised in St Augustine, Florida, and moved to Knoxville, Tennessee to attend college. During his time at Cornerstone, he will be completing some online courses through Johnson University so that he can finish his degree and graduate in December of 2020 with a degree in Youth Ministry. Nathan has a heart for students and believes whole-heartedly in the next generation and what students are capable of accomplishing in the position they are in. His goal is to become a full time youth pastor once his time at Cornerstone is complete.

Nathan is also a huge sports fan, he played basketball his entire life, all the way through his time at Johnson. He is a die hard Michigan Wolverines fan, as his dad and a lot of his family are from the state of Michigan. He also loves watching movies, his favorite of which is Space Jam.

Will Wright
Preteen Ministry Resident

I am from Muncie, Indiana which is known for having a ton of restaurants. I am currently a senior at Johnson University in Knoxville, TN and will graduate in the Spring with a bachelors in Preaching and Youth Ministry. I love and have a passion to serve the youth in the world, but really I have a heart and desire to serve wherever or any age group that God calls me to.

A few facts about myself are that I love basketball, it has been my favorite sport to play and watch since I can remember. My favorite college basketball team is the Kentucky Wildcats and my favorite basketball player of all time is Lebron James. I live on a dairy farm and have grown up helping grandpa and uncles on the farm. In my free time I like to hangout with my friends, play sports, watch movies and TV, and take naps. My favorite show of all time is F.R.I.E.N.D.S.

Cornerstone Elders

Cornerstone is staff led, but is overseen by a team of elders. Our elders have been examined by the qualifications found in 1 Timothy 3, and Titus 1 and have been through a training and vetting process.
